‘Being Missional Today’ Conference: Inspiring leaders with new missional thinking
On Tuesday, 10 June 2025, Reconciliation Initiatives and Coventry Cathedral, in partnership with Church Urban Fund and the Iona Community, will host the ‘Being Missional Today’ conference at Coventry Cathedral. Designed for local church and area leaders, this event offers new ways of thinking, fresh perspectives, and actionable steps to reimagine mission in participants’ current contexts and meet the challenges of our rapidly changing world.
Why attend?
The conference is a festival of missional thinking exploring the impact of disruptions in church and world, the liminality of this current season, and the role of reconciliation practices. Attendees will:
- Discover new ideas: Engage with 22 thought-provoking speakers representing diverse voices at the forefront of new missional thinking today.
- Network with peers: Connect with church leaders and missioners from across the UK eager to learn from perspectives beyond dominant missional models.

Conference highlights:

- Keynote speakers: Engage with Guli Francis-Dehqani, Bishop of Chelmsford, and Al Barrett, Rector of Hodge Hill, who will offer radical ways of missional thinking and practice today.
- Inclusive perspectives: Hear from voices historically marginalised in mission dialogues, creating a more globally connected and inclusive conversation.
