Reconciliation Initiatives (RI) is delighted to announce the appointment of Ruwani Gunawardene to our Board of Trustees. Ruwani is a curate in the Diocese of London, and also works for the Diocese, based in the Willesden Episcopal Area.

Chair of Trustees, Moira Astin says: “I’m delighted that Ruwani is joining our Board of Trustees. Ruwani brings experience of the wider Anglican Communion, from the Church of Ceylon, as well as extensive experience of Anglican diocesan systems and ways of working. Importantly, she brings a passion for the ministry of reconciliation, which was strengthened through her participation in the Journey of Hope pilgrimage with Reconcilers Together. It is a joy to have her as part of RI’s team of trustees.”

Ruwani says: “I am so pleased to join the Board of Trustees for Reconciliation Initiatives. I am impressed with the charity’s Reconciling Mission and Being White programmes, and am looking forward to contributing to the future development of the charity’s mission. I am also excited to see RI expanding to work in partnership with others beyond Britain, in other parts of the Anglican Communion.”
